Speak with Sarah was the best thing we could have done for our son. He had very little speech before Sarah intervened. Instead of his lack of speech being something to worry about, Sarah put us at ease, and made his sessions enjoyable and fun - and she taught me how to speak effectively to my son. We cannot thank Sarah enough for all the encouragement and reassurance she gave, not only for our son but for us as parents as well. Our son has started to communicate well and it is wonderful to listen to him, and to know that he is making friends in preschool. I know that without Sarah's help he would not be where he is today.
Sarah came to our home to assess our 2 year and 9 month old son as we were concerned with his sudden stammering. I found Sarah to be very professional, experienced and warm. It was important that we found someone who understands children and we could get on with . She was very empathetic and bonded with my son in minutes. We received the written report sooner than expected and found her comments and tips useful. I would recommend her to anyone as it was a very stressful time trying to find the right person to help us and so lucky we found her.
I contacted Sarah after having concerns about my 3 year old son's pronunciation of certain sounds. My son has made so much progress with Sarah's support and therapy and has met and exceeded his targets. Sarah's sessions were always fun and engaging and her resources were amazing! The sessions were personalised to my son's needs and interests and he loved having Sarah come 'to play'. Sarah is very kind and friendly and built up a lovely relationship with my son. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking speech therapy for their child.
'I have been so impressed by Sarah's knowledge and expertise. But even more important has been Sarah's ability to understand and bond with my (4 year-old) son. His speech therapy sessions are one of the highlights of his week, he asks me eagerly when Sarah is next coming 'to play'. His speech has improved significantly and he enjoys the games and practice, and is proud of his efforts.'
I contacted Sarah after struggling to get my then two-year old son the help he needed on the NHS and I am very pleased I did. He was extremely frustrated and life wasn't much fun for any of us at times! Sarah made him feel so comfortable that the speech therapy sessions soon became the highlight of his week as he just thought she had come to play with him. It's obvious that she is a mum herself and our son couldn't wait to see which toys she had brought with her each week! We found the therapy quite an education as it made us aware of the ways in which we were speaking to our son. Although we aren't having therapy at the moment, we still use many of the strategies she taught us as they have become second nature. Our son has made huge progress over the last few months and we are sure that the sessions with Sarah have helped him. I have already recommended her to friends whose children have similar speech delays and would do so again.
Sarah is extremely friendly and reliable. She has given me the skills and confidence to help my son on a daily basis. She works very well with my son and he loves her coming and looks forward to the sessions with her. There has been a significant improvement in both my sons speech and language over the last six months. I am very pleased to have her help.
